Free Admission to Museums First of the Month

Blog Sisters has uncovered another wonderful opportunity to save a few bucks for a family event. Free General Admission to museums, zoos, botanical gardens, and science centers across the United States during the first weekend of every month thanks to a special promotion offered by Bank of America.

How does it work?
If you possess an ATM, credit or check card from Bank of America, then you automatically get in for free at participating museums and other educational events. Each cardholder gets in for free.

Don't have one? You can apply for one if you choose. I personally don't have one but will apply for one just in time for the summer as we plan to take a few road trips as a family and visit different cities and cultural venues including museums.

So this holiday weekend for 4th of July may be a good time, but it's best to check holiday schedule for heading out.

For more information and a list of participating museums/zoos in your area, CLICK HERE.

And, if you're traveling to South Florida this summer, Moms get in free at various attractions from June 1 - August 31. Click here to learn more.

We participate in this every month. My hubby and I both have a card through BOA. It really is an awesome opportunity to enjoy some free family fun and to expose our son to some culture without breaking the bank!

This is great! I check what's available in my state (SC) and although there is nothing in the Charleston area, Columbia has some things to offer. This will make a great weekend trip with my family! Thanks for the valuable tip!

In Massachusetts, the Bank of America Museums on Us program gets you free into the Harvard Museum of Natural HIstory, where they have dinosaurs, (the 42 foot Kronosaurus, a Triceratops skull, the plateosaurus, pteranodon) not to mention over 500 animals..lions, tigers, elephant, hippo, giraffe, whale skeletons). Also the Museum of Fine Arts, the DeCordova, and the Exploratorium.
